The 5 unexpected Beauty Looks Trending at #NYFW

Spring….a time for new beginnings, starting fresh, stopping to smell the flowers and of course revamping your beauty look to match the spirit of the season! Think glowing skin, fresh palettes and feminine hues…

It’s New York Fashion Week time which means we’re stalking the #nyfw instagram hashtag to find out what’s trending in beauty and how we can adapt our everyday look! Here’s our edit of the five most unexpected, yet completely lust worthy looks of the season…

  1. Makeup free minus a Red Velvet Lip at Jason Wu

Jason Wu managed to make the classic red lip unexpected and infinitely more chic by taking away absolutely everything else! No lashes, no foundation and no powder! Models cheeks were pinched for a little colour, skin was left raw and lips were applied with fingers (allowing for precision in application) and finished with a dry power pigment. No better motivation to get our skin glowing for Spring!

3. Blue Tones at Phillip Lim, Jenny Packham and DVF
Shades of blue, teal and everything in between lined eyes and coloured lids at Phillip Lim, Jenny Packham and DVF! 80’s disco no more! Blended out harmoniously and paired with clean and simple faces and the look has been chicly revived…

3. White Eyes at Thakoon
What’s more perfectly feminine and Spring appropriate then a bit of white on white finished with a flushed cheek! Angelic eyes never get old and made a welcomed appearance at Thakoon. Lashes were left bare and eyes were opened up with a white pencil used on the inside of the eye and the upper inner corner.

4. Spider Lashes by Nars at Mansur Gavriel

5. Floral Nail Art at Erin Fetherson

Nothing says Spring like floral nail art! Flower motifs on milky pink nails gave a subtle and refined take to a normally bold trend. Practice those steady hands beauties!
