When it comes to makeup goals Kendall Jenner scores highly on our list. We covet her flawless skin, perfect contours and nude tones. Want to know how to get this look? We recently hosted a Kendall Jenner ‘Look & Learn’ Contouring & Highlighting Workshop here at The French. Where our expert Makeup Educators (those who have travelled the world as leading makeup artists working across the fashion runways of the world, on blockbuster films and television sets with movie stars, celebrities and top end fashion designers) shared their insider tips and knowledge.
Don’t worry if you missed out, we share below our top tips for contouring and highlighting like Kendall Jenner….
Step 1. Skin Preparation
Apply MAC Strobe Cream to a clean face. We love this product as a moisturiser. It boosts the look of dull skin and luminises with iridescent particles and is full of vitamins and minerals. It really is like a Berocca for the skin!
2. Complexion – Foundation & Concealer
Apply your foundation and concealer with your favourite brushes. We love using a synthetic buffing brush or a beauty blender to achieve a natural glowing skin. Aim for a medium coverage to achieve a flawless finish for your contour and highlight to shine. Remember skin is in and caked on makeup is out!
3. Highlighting
Using MAC Cream Colour Base in “Hush” apply highlighter to the top of cheekbones, brow bone, forehead, nose, cupids bow and chin with clean fingers or a sponge. If you have a darker complexion try the same product in “Shell”.
Then using apply MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in ‘Soft and Gentle” intensify the highlights by sweeping this product across the skin with a round blush brush. There is a slightly deeper color “Global Glow” for a darker skin if needed.
With a large powder brush apply loose powder to remaining areas of the face.
3. Contouring
Apply contour colour to temples, under cheekbones and jaw with an angled blush brush. There are a number of contour colours available, but we love Mac Pro Sculpting Cream in Soft Taupe. An easy and effective contouring technique is to use the 3 method. This means tracing the shape of a three on each side of your face. Taking it from your temple to underneath you cheekbone and then onto your jaw line. Now blend out your three shape with large powder blush.
4. Blush
Choose a neutral peach blush (we love Nars Power Blush in Amour) and apply to apples of cheeks and blend with large powder blush!
