Shireen has always been aware of the skin and its role in confidence and self esteem, which was a catalyst for beginning her study of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy at The French.
Through dedication, hard work, passion and a willingness to learn, Shireen has not only secured her dream position as Manager at Golden Door Spa, she has also started her own Styling/Events and Catering business! Shireen says it’s exciting to work in the beauty industry as there are always new products to share with clients – she has even been able to work with ‘Divine’ a new certified organic range by Therese Kerr (Miranda Kerr’s mum).
I have always believed that your skin is extremely important and that it is paramount to look after. Skin plays a huge role in your self esteem and confidence I wanted to further my knowledge around skin health.
Prior to studying, I had always heard such lovely things about The French, their great reputation and the girls always looked so immaculate dressed in their uniforms. For me, this really set the standards and foundations of what a Beauty Therapist should be.
From my first day at orientation I found the entire experience extremely pleasurable! The Educators were warm and welcoming and being in a sophisticated environment made it such a beautiful facility to study.
The French equipped me with all the practicals tools and knowledge that I needed to begin my career out in the beauty industry. On completion of my studies I was confident, had thorough knowledge and a professionalism that was highly regarded in industry.
Debbie was my favourite Educator. Not only was she was extremely approachable, she spent the time to explain certain aspects of units that I felt were difficult and went out of her way to help. She was hilarious, always making us laugh!
Within the beauty industry you are always learning and growing. If you are passionate about what you do you will be great at what you do.
I found it easy to gain work after graduating. I was willing to learn everything and anything to start my career as a beauty therapist.
Extremely well presented, professional, lovely-natured students who are passionate about their career paths.
I’m currently managing Golden Door Spa and that was always my dream position! There is no better feeling than working hard and landing your dream position.
The beauty industry is constantly changing and there are always new skills to learn and products to share with your clients. Golden Door has now received a beautiful certified organic range called ‘Divine’ by Therese Kerr (Miranda Kerr’s Mum) that we had the pleasure of meeting a few months back. She was so lovely!
If you are passionate, caring, driven and willing to learn then you will be great at what you do. Never give up and always believe in yourself.
I had a goal to start my own business as well as being a Spa Manager! I’ve been able to do both! I have launched a Styling /Events and Catering Business! If you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
