In an exclusive opportunity for our Future of Beauty students, The French Beauty Academy is excited to announce our collaboration with the visionary minds behind SSKIN, Amy and Emilee Hembrow. Commencing in 2024, the guest lectures will inject a fresh wave of entrepreneurial inspiration for French students. In a series of masterclasses hosted by the trailblazing duo, students will take a deep dive into the intricacies of business, branding, social media marketing, interview strategies, the art of cultivating dream teams and fostering a positive work culture.

The Hembrow sisters will share their contemporary industry knowledge and business acumen, ensuring French students have exclusive networking access to real-world entrepreneurs who will share their success stories.

Amy and Emilee wear many hats – from beauty entrepreneurs and devoted mothers to brand and social media influencers. Based on the Gold Coast with two boutique clinic locations offering the best in skin, cosmetic treatments, naturopathy and vitamin therapies, the clinic’s top priority is enhancing clients’ natural beauty, not changing it.

The Hembrow sisters have earned their well recognised name in the beauty industry due to their business acumen, building a range of diversified businesses as they continue to leverage their brand. Amy and Emilee plan to open more SSKIN clinics in the near future and have recruited some of our French alumni (Valedictorian Christie Cameron voted ‘Gold Coasts Facialist of the Year’ as well as Valedictorian Kristina Gianneas, both now academy educators as well as senior therapists at SSKIN). We cannot wait to delve into their stories of trials and triumphs and see our Frenchies inspired with entrepreneurial confidence.

But don’t just limit yourself to the beauty industry – for every interest there a flock of podcasts vying for attention.

Working in the Beauty Industry has shed some light on how many beautiful souls see themselves in a negative way and quite frankly, we won’t tolerate it anymore! Society has been misguiding the way people see themselves for too long and we are here to set the record straight!

Our philosophy is that true beauty lies within the soul. It’s about knowing who you really are: accepting your imperfections and learning to listen to your inner wisdom. It’s about honouring your spirit, nurturing your mind, and nourishing your body. It’s a journey of discovery to that place where you love being ‘you’ – etre bien dans sa peau.

With that being said, we have put together some of our  favourite reasons why we LOVE the skin you’re in!  From today we challenge you , not to compare your beauty to others, to respect your body, to love all of you and to encourage others to see themselves in a positive light.

Stretch Marks: aka Tiger stripes, & angel scratches. These beautiful marks tell a story about the journey of coming into your own. They represent how you have grown into the strong person you are today. The best thing about them is that almost EVERYONE has them ! Whether you earned your tiger stripes from carrying your precious child, developing into an adult, or embracing your curves, we respect and love them !

Pearly Whites: We believe the best medicine is laughter and along with laughter comes smiling. It’s time to flaunt those beautiful teeth and share your happiness with the world. And if that’s not a strong enough point to embrace your natural smile, the French often say that gap teeth are lucky teeth!

Curves: They aren’t called LOVE handles for no reason.  Curves are so feminine! Curves come in all shapes as sizes, make sure you aren’t getting caught up on the shape and size of yours. We came across a quote recently that we had to share – “ You aren’t fat !  You have fat. You also have fingernails. But you’re not fingernails!”  We challenge you to embrace your curves and show them off.

Freckles: They are a sign of unique beauty. A common trend is drawing freckles on with makeup and this is because those who don’t have them, want them. We think they are ADORABLE! Ditch your full coverage foundation and let the world see how beautiful your skin naturally is !

We LOVE the skin you’re in and it’s time to start feeling more confident with your natural beauty. Girl, you should go and love yourself !

The 2015 Victoria Secret Fashion Show won’t air until early December but lucky for us, social media has given us a sneak peek behind the scenes of the most anticipated runway show of the year. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have made their catwalk debuts for the brand while Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding and The Weekend will feature as musical guests.

The Victoria Secret Fashion Show never fails to disappoint. Each year, we can’t to see the Angels take to the runway in bedazzled underwear and head-turning beauty looks. Read on for our 5 favorite beauty looks we have glimpsed so far behind the scenes.

1. Natural glowing skin

There is this perception that the Angels wear a lot of makeup for the show but that is in fact false. While bronzer was a staple at all the previous shows, this years looks behind the curtains revealed a much more natural and fresh look. Makeup artist Dick Page revealed, “You won’t find concealer or bronzer on the girls, just a bit of darker foundation along their hairlines for definition and touches of gold highlighter”

2.Minimal Eye makeup

This year was all about back to basics and the minimal eye makeup reaffirmed that. Dick Page says – “To replicate this look use a bit of black cream shadow to create definition in the lash lines. Use a beautiful  golden taupe-brown over the lid, through the crease and lower lashes.”

3. Big Lashes

When it comes to eyelashes it’s all about definition not length.  Page used Ardell individual eyelash clusters that adds visible volume to the lash line that pops in front of lights and cameras, but not length “You shouldn’t be able to see them from space,” he says.

4. Nude Glossy Lips

Nude glossy lips make a bold statement in a subtle way while remaining classy and sexy. The Angles where spotted wearing shades of colour that matched their skin tones perfectly. When replicating this look keep your skin tone in mind. For fair skin, use peachy, pink, or even a totally nude shade. For medium or dark skin consider a peachy beige or a lipstick warmer in color. Top off with a clear or slightly tinted gloss.

5. Natural Hair

Maria Borges Natural Hair

When it comes to hair, Victoria Secret is know for bombshell, bouncy and super long look but this year it was all about celebrating individuality.  Maria Borges made history by wearing her short, natural hair down the runway making it the first time any black model has done so. There was no extensions added to girls with shorter hair, while the girls still rocked their signature VS bombshell locks.

What we loved most about the backstage photos is the celebration of individuality and natural, fresh makeup that enhances your features without drastically changing your appearance. Being unique is what makes us beautiful so remember that being yourself is always best.

We look forward to watching the Victoria Secret Fashion Show on the 8th of December, so stayed tuned for our runway beauty breakdown.
