We understand that life often stands in the way of achieving the qualifications necessary to launch a new career, which is why we offer beauty therapy courses with a choice of flexible study modes to suit your schedule:
About our beauty therapy courses
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy full-time option involves face-to-face classes, three days a week from 9am to 4:30pm, with intakes in January and August each year. Focussing on your studies full-time allows you to complete your qualification in 12 months, while enjoying the on-campus lifestyle and the opportunity to make new friends.
Key theory components of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy are also available through our Online Learning Centre, with practical units completed on campus over 12 five-day blocks attended throughout the course. Multiple starting dates are available each year for this mixed study option and you can sign up for the practical blocks in accordance with your availability.
The five-day practical blocks usually run from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5pm – although you may be required to attend a Saturday class if a public holiday falls during the week. To learn more about how you can enrol in one of our beauty therapy courses online, please follow the link.
Some of our most popular short courses and Certificate II programs are offered as evening classes at our Robina campus, running from 5pm to 9pm. This option allows you to gain new skills and qualifications without giving up your day job, with the opportunity to upgrade to full-time or online Diploma study when you are ready.
We can’t always commit to a full year of study, but that shouldn’t stop you from following your dreams. We have developed a series of individual units that will give you a taste of what beauty therapy is all about … and hopefully inspire you to take your studies further.
Building Your Qualifications
Our courses are fully articulated so that you can start with a Certificate II and credit some of the units towards a Diploma at a later stage.
The French Beauty Academy has established incredible articulation agreements with Southern Cross University and Victoria University that allow Academy graduates to credit their Diploma studies towards a degree.
At Southern Cross University, the Diploma of Beauty Therapy equates to one semester of a Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Click here for further information.
Within this degree, you will have the opportunity to study overseas through an international exchange program and support to secure an internship with hotel, spa and resort chains. This experience will be credited towards your degree and is often the first step in securing ongoing employment with your host internship organisation.
As part of our arrangement, Southern Cross University plans to developing a new major in Spa and Wellness Management as an exciting new pathway for The French Beauty Academy students commencing in 2018.
We also have a formal agreement with Victoria University in Melbourne, which recognises The Academy’s Diploma of Beauty Therapy as the equivalent of first year studies towards a Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies).
