Graduates will be equipped for senior management roles in luxury spas, beauty and hair salons, laser or medi clinics and licensed to deliver Laser Hair Reduction services.
The French Beauty Academy’s cutting-edge SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management is designed for salon (both beauty and hair) industry professionals and recent graduates of beauty, hair and aesthetics courses who want to stand out and build a successful career in management and emerging industry services.
Delivered as a blend of both face-to-face learning at our Robina Laser Clinic and at home study through our world-class educational platform Virtual Beauty and integrated with the highest level of practical training and in clinic experience – this program will elevate any beauty therapy candidate in the eyes of employers, fast track their beauty career and largely expand their job opportunities.

- Management Internship. In a clinic or beauty salon of their choice, students will complete a management internship where they will develop their leadership qualities in a real working environment and implement motivational tools, incentives and learn how to empower staff.
- Specialisation in Laser Hair Reduction
- You’ll gain the confidence and licenses required to safely deliver Laser Hair Reduction treatments and effectively and safely manage laser clinics and teams.
- Practical laser hair reduction hours (minimum 9 days)
- Full Laser Hair Reduction Licence from Queensland Radiation and Health (additional $165.50 fee per student)

Virtual In-Class Program Duration
6 months – 1 year . Student attend virtual classes 2 day per week.
Our virtual in-class program is perfect if you learn best in a classroom environment. In this mode, students have a clear timetable and attend virtual classes two days per week between 9am – 4pm. Each week students are guided through coursework and the accompanying assessments by our supportive educators while collaborating with fellow Frenchies.
Self Paced Online Study Mode Duration
6 months – 1 year
Our self paced online study mode is designed for students who enjoy working at their own pace. This study mode allows you to work anywhere, anytime and for however long to complete your qualification within 12 months. The clear study guidelines, progression reporting, assessment lists and ongoing academic support ensures you stay on track. This mode of study is ideal for those with work and/or family commitments or prefer the flexibility of studying at their own pace.

Practical requirement of 8 days (minimum) delivered in The French Laser Clinic (Robina)

FRENCH ALUMNI DISCOUNT!
French graduates can access a $3,600 discount saving for the Laser Hair Reduction course. $10,800 with a $3,600 copayment required for students eligible for VET Student Loans. The course fees include both the SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management & the Laser Licence in Hair Reduction.
There are two main ways you can pay for this course: a national government loan, or private finance options such as loans and payment plans.
Government funding loan programs (like VET Student Loans) help eligible students cover tuition fees over the duration of the course and the loan is then repaid through the tax system based on income.
If you are not eligible for government funding, students are able to borrow partial or full funding for this course from a number of private providers – or our recommended partnered provider Zeefi (formerly Study Loans) – with extended loan periods of up to 48 months. Students who privately pay for their Salon Management course must pay a deposit to secure their placement.
Admissions Criteria
The French Beauty Academy is committed to providing and promoting non-discriminatory and inclusive enrolment practices, and to ensuring that students applying for enrolment into the Dual Diploma have the required aptitude and attributes necessary to reasonably achieve the qualification.
As such, all students enrolling in to the Dual Diploma – regardless of funding option – are required to meet the academic requirements:
- provide an Australian Year 12 Certificate; or
- provide evidence of successful completion of an AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English); OR
- display competence at Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy through an approved Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test
If the applicant is under the age of 18 (at first census date) they must complete two VSL Parental Consent forms, (unless the student is certified as independent, in which case evidence must be provided of independence).
PREREQUISITES
SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy required for those wishing to complete the Open Laser Use Licence in Hair Reduction.
