Beauty is….

Glowing from the inside out!

When did you realise your dream career and passion?

I’ve always been in love with hair & make-up and all things beauty. As far back as I can remember I was always doing my girlfriends hair & makeup.

I chose The French because…

Of its great reputation and stylish aesthetic. As soon as I walked through the doors I knew this is where I was meant to be to further my career as a makeup artist.

My dream job / career in beauty and wellness career is…

My dream job is to be a sought-after hair  & make-up designer for the biggest films and TV series.

I start each day with …

Positive affirmations, prayers and a grateful heart. Also a sneaky cup of coffee hehe!

I am happiest when….

I’m with my gorgeous husband and family.

My top tip for balancing life and study …

Always take time to enjoy every moment –  good or bad and trust the process. Time management is also top of my list.

My favourite subject studied at The French…

Certificate IV in Retail Makeup & Skincare of course!

I can’t wait to learn about….

Hair and make-up techniques for the film industry such as prosthetics, special effects and mastering the art of wigs.

The thing I love most about The French is…

That it is a classy, well respected company that takes the time to help you further your career in the best possible way.

Where did studying at The French take you? …

Studying at The French allowed me to meet amazing Educators including Kerryn Flewell- Smith. Kerryn has been influential in my career and has exposed me to movie sets where I have learnt so much.  I am truly grateful to The French and Kerryn. This is only the Beginning!

What has been the most exciting career achievement since graduating?

I had the opportunity to work on Thor the movie recently. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever for me!

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I see myself well established in my career. I will still be expanding my skills and enjoying everyday life with my beautiful husband and our cute babies to come!

If you could give any advice to students who are nearing completion of their studies, what would it be?

The best advice I could give to students about to complete their course would be to give it your all, all the way to the end. Be consistent and focused as hard work ALWAYS pays off. The reward is so sweet at the end – so keep pushing.

My beauty routine consists of …

Cleanse, tone, moisturize followed by my all time favourite night cream Nivea Q10 (smells AMAZING!)
